The Parish Clergy

Fr Colin Fealey (Priest)
Fr Colin is relatively new to our parish, having been appointed here as parish priest by Archbishop Malcolm in September 2019.

After having studied for the priesthood at Ushaw College, County Durham, Fr Colin was ordained to the diaconate by Archbishop Patrick Kelly on 15 th June 2001. Archbishop Kelly then went on to ordain Colin to the priesthood the following year on 5 th July at St Aidan's Church, Huyton.

Fr Colin's first appointment was to St Luke's, Whiston, where he served as assistant priest from 2002 - 2009. Afterwards he was appointed parish priest to two town centre parishes in St Helens, St Mary's Lowe House and Holy Cross. After five years here he was appointed to serve in the town of Leigh as part of a team ministry in St Edmund Arrowsmith parish before his arrival at Christ the King and Our Lady.

He is a keen supporter of Everton.

About the Parish

The parish of Christ the King and Our Lady is made up of the former parishes of Christ the King, Our Lady of Good Help, Wavertree and St Paschal Baylon, Childwall. The three parishes were merged in 2005 to form one new Parish. In 2025 Christ the King and Our Lady Parish will celebrate its 100 th anniversary. The parish is currently served by a parish priest, three deacons and two sisters of the Cross and Passion.

Based upon our own experience of God, we try to live out the Gospel values in everything we do - be that at home, in our work place and in our community prayer.

Our parish prayer is "Lord deepen in us our love for you today, so that in all things we may find our good and the good of others".
